The Red 16Line features both Digilink and Thunderbolt connectors, making it easier than ever to switch from Pro Tools | HD to a native audio/Midi sequencer without having to reconfigure the optional interface boards. Like all Red Series interfaces, the 16Line offers exceptional levels of latency.
 
High-performance audio converters offer a dynamic range of 118 dB input and 121 dB output. They have been specially calibrated to provide the best balance between sound quality, dynamic and conversion latency. Red’s ultra-low latency completely transfigures your workflow. If you are used to handling different mixes (one for input monitoring and overdubs, the other with the sequencer for playback), it is now quite possible to perform your software mixing with your sequencer for input levels, headsets, overdubs and mixing in the same session with all your plug-ins in insert.
 
The Red 16Line has 16 line inputs in D-sub format, combined with 16 line outputs and 2 main outputs (monitor). The 2 digitally controlled Micro preamps offer up to 63 dB of ultra-clean gain, with stereo "link", individual phantom power, high-pass filter, polarity and air mode, the signature sound of the classic transformer of the ISA Focusrite preamps. With a 2-port Dante card, you can extend your Ethernet studio for more channels at higher sampling frequencies, across your network, with low latency and lower cost.
